Computers and Office Equipment
Think about just how many electronic devices there are in your workplace. Computers, printers, modems, fax machines, TV's, DVD players and so on. Plus, the big machines like copiers and color printers. Even if you can't control what products your company purchases, you can control how you use them in order to save energy.
OneThing to remember is that many electronic devices continue to drain power even when they're not in use. So turn off computers rather than putting them to sleep for long periods of time. And unplug your personal equipment if you're going to be out of the office on vacation.
One great big OneThing you can do is spread the word to your coworkers about shutting off their computers. And make sure the last person to leave every night turns off all copiers and printers.
