Energy Star

If all of the lights, appliances and electronics in your facility had the ENERGY STAR label, you'd cut your energy bill by a huge margin.  And you'd be dramatically reducing greenhouse gas emissions, too.

What is the ENERGY STAR?  It's a rating that the US Departments of Energy and Environmental Protection have developed to label products that meet strict energy efficiency standards. The idea is to make it easier for you to find the most energy-efficient choices when shopping.

You'll find the ENERGY STAR on many of the things you purchase, like the appliances in your kitchen or break room, office equipment, electronics, even larger equipment and materials like HVAC systems, windows and more.

The most important thing to keep in mind about ENERGY STAR, is that it means you can save energy without sacrificing product quality, features or styles. In most cases, ENERGY STAR rated products perform just as well (sometimes better) than their energy-hogging peers. Plus, to encourage people to buy, you can usually find great rebates and other incentives from retailers, manufacturers, even the government.

Always look for the ENERGY STAR. That's a pretty big OneThing!
