Energy Independence Load Response Program
| Eligibility: |
Commercial; Industrial; Owners of distributed generation equipment that operate at 85% load factor or greater from 12 pm to 8 pm weekdays during June through September, and January through February; and other requirements. CL&P projects that receive grants through CEEF, CCEF, or other programs already funded by customers are not eligible. |

Incentive; distributed generation grants are $450 per kW, with an additional $50 per kW for emergency generation projects located within SWCT that come online prior to April 30, 2008. |

Project 100

Minimum 10-year contract to provide class 1 renewable capacity to CL&P and UI. Minimum $50,000 grant award to each approved project that is contracted. |
| Program Features: |
The state's electric distribution companies (CL&P and UI) are required to enter into minimum 10-year contracts for not less than 100 MW of Class I renewable capacity. This initiative is designed to encourage financing of renewable energy projects, stimulate the development of new projects, and increase the available supply of renewable energy. Contracts increase to 125 MW between October 1, 2007 to October 1, 2008, and then to 150 MW from October 1, 2008 onward. |

| Program Features: |
The Connecticut Clean Energy Fund (CCEF) is providing rebates of $5.00 per watt (maximum $25,000) for the installation of new, approved, grid-connected, PV systems. Under the CCEF program, cash Rebates are only available for PV systems purchased through an Eligible Installer who is authorized to apply for rebates for approved systems on Connecticut residences. Rebates must be passed on, in full, to customers. Eligible Installers may not require customers to pay the full costs and then wait for reimbursement from CCEF |
