Students Grades 3-6 Invited to Education Day of OneThing Expo: Home of a Million OneThings

Teachers and students grades 3 through 6 are invited to take a magical journey into the world of energy conservation by attending Education Day of the OneThing Expo: Home of a Million OneThings on Friday, October 10, 2008 at the Connecticut Convention Center, Hartford.

Education Day: Created with Kids In Mind
The day will feature guided tours of the Expo floor and a walk through OneThing-Palooza, an interactive zone featuring dozens of hands-on exhibits, workshops, demonstrations and youth-oriented performances. In addition, there will be opportunities along the way for teachers and students to register their 'OneThing' and consider the many ways that they can pass this vital message on to others.

The event is being designed by professionals from the Connecticut Science Center, Stepping Stones Museum, Norwalk, and dozens of educational and non-profit organizations across the state, including the State of Connecticut, Department of Education.  Education Day will be a fun, imaginative experience that inspires and motivates students to learn about the many OneThings they can do to save energy.
